Pipeline locating
It should not happen, but it happens on a regular base. Renovating a building or an old plant, the master blueprints cannot be found. Or by taking over a big building project because of a bankruptcy or when a builder is set non-active, not all blueprints are transmitted. As a result of the absent blueprints, it’s hard to determine where the pipelines are heading.
We have the answer. Using a special camera with a build-in probe, we can locate the pipeline. In that way we can indicate the pipelines direction and depth. At the same time, because of the use of a camera, we can also analyse the physical condition of the inside.
In contrast to the traditional locating technique, in which no camera is used but only a probe which will be inserted into the pipeline, we secure the locating results by the following. If a pipeline would be obstructed half way. Using the traditional equipment it would not be shown and it would look like the pipeline will end there. By using this invalid information, wrong and expensive decisions will be taken. With the use of a camera system, the obstruction will be shown and the action, which will be taken, relies on pure facts. |
